Like old friends who pick up right where they left off after not seeing each other for years, so it is with me and this blog. Since last I wrote, lots has happened, as it does in life. And fortunately for me, the time-lapsed has been sometimes all these things: full and busy and fun and overwhelming and blessed and happy and slow and fast and hard and easy and up and down and amazing.
You likely know me best on this blog for writing about my wonderful love story here, here, here, here, here and…well, you see I’ve written about it a lot. I’ve received many questions from you, my friends, and I hope to soon answer your questions here on this blog. And even though my love story is amazing, I’m here to tell you that our every day of marriage gets better and funner and happier.
Also, over the last few years, I’ve picked up some old interests—voiceover and photography. Over 2016-2017, I was the voice of the Orange Leaders Audio Blog for the company I work for. It was, and is, an honor to work for a company that seeks to engage children in an everyday faith.
One new habit I picked up is essential oils. They offer me such help and support for restless sleep and seasonal sinus discomfort. There are even beauty products, like shampoo and conditioner that leave your hair shiny enough to see your reflection.
This past year alone, we’ve moved, gotten a dog, and started the adoption process. Oh yes, this is just a tease, you’ll learn more soon.
Some of the hard stuff has been watching my father age in awkward and confusing and sad ways. And not getting pregnant when I was so sure I would.
But life has been so full and bountiful and blessed over the last few years. And most of the hard stuff has threads of joy and hope woven throughout. I’ll share more of those threads with you soon.
